Dr. Tom Duening
Founder & President
Tom Duening is the founder and CEO of PushRock Venture Partners and director of ICAN. Tom has been involved in entrepreneurship as a startup founder and academic since 1984. After selling his first venture in 1991, Tom was selected to become the assistant dean of the University of Houston College of Business. There, he became a founding faculty member in what is now the Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship, the #1 undergraduate program in the nation. Tom next was tabbed to lead the Arizona State University Entrepreneurial Programs Office. In that role, he founded the Arizona Technology Investor Forum (ATIF) to empower ASU alumni and other supporters to invest in student and faculty entrepreneurs. His success with ATIF led him to the University of Colorado where he founded the Colorado Springs Venture Attractor and its investment vehicle the Torch Grants. Tom brings his vast experience with building networks of entrepreneurs and investors to ICAN.
